We’ve talked about it for a long time, but we’re finally going to make a citywide brewery tour happen. And in a startling display of perfect timing, its going to be an official Philly Beer Week event!
We’ll be meeting at Nodding Head at 11am and hitting 5 breweries before the day is done. We’ll have plenty of time at each place to taste some beers, maybe even meet the brewers.
In case you want to meet up en route, here is the schedule:
11am – Nodding Head
12:30 p.m. – Dock Street
2 p.m. – Yards
3:30 p.m. – PBC
5 p.m. – Triumph
And here is the route: http://www.mapmyride.com/route/us/pa/philadelphia/100471909209
The ride will be an easy one, although we will be in traffic. So please bring your helmets, and we’ll be following traffic signals as much as possible. This isn’t an alleycat race!

Comment by jessefive February 13, 2009 @ 3:46 pmHooray! I will be able to make this! I am heading to Europe for a week before this and I am planning on bringing back some big bottles from some breweries in Belgium (party to follow)
Comment by Niamh February 18, 2009 @ 3:59 amLooks like no registration or sign up required, right? My wife and I plan on attending on our tandem and she’ll be the designated pedaler.
Comment by Bob February 27, 2009 @ 5:25 pmI’m looking forward to it and have 3 friends joining me as well. How many riders are you expecting?

Comment by RollinRox March 9, 2009 @ 4:58 pmI’m trying to keep track of how many people are riding so that I can let the breweries know.
Comment by jessefive March 9, 2009 @ 5:06 pmHey all,
Comment by Grant March 11, 2009 @ 2:31 pmI am very interested in this. I am not a big biker. Use to mountain bike but retired to leisure rides. First is this for anyone with a bike or is this like a biking club thing? Second, I have a little one that I usually take everywhere. I have a tow behind, would this event be kid friendly at all?
Where’s the sign-up?
